Welcome to Arvind Gavali College of Engineering (AGCE). It gives me immense pleasure to introduce you to the research and development activities at the institute. We emphasize in a strong research development mindset and also that a strong faculty research profile will be beneficial for better academics.

Our institute aims at an excellence in activities where research, academics, and industry partnerships go hand in hand. This ensures the achievement of our institute mission of developing skilled engineers to serve the industry and society. To promote research, rewards are given to faculty members for publications in refereed journals and conferences. Support is also provided financially to faculty members for gaining higher qualifications. Students and faculty members are also supported for IPR.

The institute has achieved significant growth through a rise in faculty qualifications, publication of papers and IPRs, receipt of grants for research projects, participation of faculty and students in conferences and other research activities. The institute also holds its flagship conference – The International Conference on Innovations and Recent Trends in Engineering and Science (ICIRTES) annually facilitating an interaction between research scholars, industry personnel, faculty members, UG and PG students from within the country and abroad. UG and PG students of various disciplines have demonstrated their innovative capabilities by participating in International events, National level Hackathons, University, and State-level competitive events. Innovations by our students have been lauded in Shark Tank India Campus Special, AVISHKAR [Maharashtra State Inter-University Research Convention], Smart India Hackathon, DIPEX, and other reputed events.

Students are encouraged to participate in Startup-related activities and initiatives. The institute has partnered with the DBATU Forum of Innovation, Incubation & Enterprise for setting up its spoke center at AGCE. The institute implements its start-up initiative through its well-established Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC – AGCE). The institute also encourages collaborative research activities with members of other institutes.
